於 Ubuntu 安裝 Google Earth (Install Google Earth in Ubuntu)

前往 http://earth.google.com/
Visit http://earth.google.com/

選擇語言後按 "下載Google地球"
Select the language and click "Download Google Earth"

選擇版本後按 "同意並下載"
Select the version and click "Accept"

下載 .bin 檔案後開啟 Terminal
輸入以下指令
Download .bin file and open the Terminal
Enter the command below

1	cd "/home/abc/Desktop"

abc 是使用者登入名稱
abc is the user login name

?

1	chmod 0755 "./GoogleEarthLinux.bin"

改變檔案模式為 755 (或任何使用者可存取的模式)
change the mode as 755 (or any mode that user can execute this file)

?

1	"./GoogleEarthLinux.bin"

將檔案解壓縮
Unzip the .bin

出現 Google Earth Setup 的 window
選擇安裝路徑，建議安裝在 /usr/local/google-earth/，而 symbolic link 可不使用
確定後按 Begin Install 開始安裝
Showing Google Earth Setup window
Select the install path, I recommend you install at /usr/local/google-earth/, you can deselect symbolic link
Press Begin Install to install

完成後
After installation

在 X Window 環境下 Google Earth 捷徑會在 Applications > Internet > Google Earth
When you have X Window System, the shortcut of Google Earth would appear at Applications > Internet > Google Earth
